Kick Off 2 Tactic Editor
Posted on 02/11/2026, in English. Reading time: 1 minKick Off 2 on Amiga was a source of great fun for many people. Player Manager’s tactic editor added a great deal of depth, turning matches into a balanced mix of skill and strategy.
With the help of Claude Code, we built a tool to create new tactics and save them directly into Amiga disk files. Have fun, and feel young again!
The Kick Off 2 Tactic Editor is a free Windows program. You move the players on a pitch for each ball zone and special situation, then write your tactics to an Amiga disk image to use in the game.

What it does
- Edit the positions of the 10 outfield players in all 20 situations: 12 ball zones, kick-offs, goal kicks and corners.
- Study or clone the 8 standard tactics, which are included.
- Keep a tactic within a chosen distance of a standard tactic, with the areas outside the limits greyed out.
- Draw a second tactic over yours, and watch the players move between situations.
- Import tactics from Amiga disk images (
.adf/.sdf) and export up to 20 to a new tactic disk. - Browse teams and skills from your own Kick Off 2 or Player Manager game disk, or from Player Manager saved careers.

How to run it
Download the zip, unzip the whole folder, double-click KO2TacticEditor.exe and open http://localhost:5000 in your browser.
The exe isn’t digitally signed, so Windows may warn you the first time. If so, click More info, then Run anyway.
Instructions, the changelog and the license are on the GitHub page.
No game disks are included. This is an unofficial fan project, not affiliated with or endorsed by the authors or rights holders of Kick Off 2 or Player Manager.
